Visitors who come to Merck’s new Innovation Center in Darmstadt, Germany, are welcomed by an OLED light installation in the entrance area. This installation comprises two rings of OLED panels nested inside one another, suspended from the ceiling. The doubled-sided OLEDs create a soft light wave and reflect the movement of incoming visitors.
The OLED light panels from OLEDWorks are created using materials developed and manufactured by Merck. This OLED installation is an example of Merck’s commitment to demonstrate innovative applications for their patented technology.
This is the second interactive OLED installation at Merck headquarters as there is already Light Cloud in the new Innovation Center.
